3 Lessons Learned from My ITIL 3rd Anniversary

Three years ago on June 25, 2017, I passed my ITIL 3 Foundation exam. Since then I have leveraged this certification for many career opportunities. Here are my top 3 lessons learned from receiving my ITIL.

Increased My Career Competitive Advantage

I already my PMP and CSM before passing my ITIL 3. However, receiving my ITIL 3 certification significantly expanded my career opportunities. Since 2017, every single contract and permanent opportunity that I have received has come due to ITIL 3. I am a techie who loves IT and getting ITIL 3 allows me to work in IT project management. In addition, I get to seek more opportunities to work on more tech products.

ITIL 3 served as the foundation for ITIL 4. I learned more about AXELOS and the exam format from ITIL 3. Furthermore, I have accumulated a lot of IT service management in between 2017 and 2019 when I received the ITIL 4 Foundation.
