5 Reasons to Get Your PMP Now
There are so many people debating whether or not to take the PMP exam now since PMI will delay its PMP exam change from December to July 2020. Here are my 5 reasons why you should get your PMP now.
There is less pressure.
Passing the PMP exam is a process. First, you have to get the personal development units (PDUs), gain the experience, submit the PMP application for approval, read and re-read the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), pay the money and pass the exam. Starting now in 2019 gives you ample time to complete the entire process.
This is downtime.
Things are slow in December. People have taken off for the Christmas holiday. It will not always stay this way. Come January, things will ramp up due to the New Year. Furthermore, you will have new work to do. Use this downtime to pass the PMP.
You have practice test materials
Right now there is an abundance of FREE PMP online simulator, flashcards and study guides. There is usually a 90–120 day wait for credible PMP prep materials. Moreover, during December lots of companies are offering sales that you can take advantage of. Even waiting to January 2020 will increase the price of the exact same test materials.
