April 2023 Certification List Update
April has been a progressive month. As always I provide you with the original January 2023 certification list post for reference.
April 2023 Accomplishments
- 4/13/2023 — Decided to use my AWS Community Builder voucher to pass my AWS Security Specialty
- 4/20/2023 — Completed Teams Toolkit Microsoft Cloud Skills Challenge
- 4/25/2023 — Completed Python Essentials I course
- 4/29/2023 — Registered for the free Python Essentials II FLAMES Foundation training to start for the May 1, 2023 cohort
Use My AWS Community Builder Voucher To Pass My AWS Security Specialty Exam
I have decided to use my AWS Community Builder free exam voucher to pass my AWS security specialty. Also starting the week of April 17 th, I dedicate 3 days a week on Cloud Academy learning path training to ensure that I am passing my exam. My goal is to pass my AWS security exam before May 15, 2023. Security Specialty is on my 2023 certification list.
Completed Teams Toolkit Microsoft Cloud Skills Challenge
It was connected to VS Code which was interesting to me. I did not know that there was a VS Code integration. VS Code was something that I needed to learn more about since it was widely used.
Completed Python Essentials I Course
I am thankful to Fred Brandon and his FLAMES Foundation for providing me with an opportunity to learn Python for free. Unfortunately, IDLE wants to have an error so I have to learn Python without actually doing the code. However, I have Cloud Academy so I will be using that lab in order to learn it. I have also registered for the Python Essentials II free training starting May 1, 2023. I refuse to let some bug get in the way of my Python learning. I do see myself getting certified this spring most likely before July 1, 2023.

Landing A Full-Time Job
My May has always been the same: finding a full-time job. I have been doing other work from home things too. I have been accepted into Amazon Mechanical Turk. With all of the tech layoffs, I am very cautious about landing a tech job. I will say that I am still getting interviews and building my skillset.
Pass My AWS Security Specialty
My goal is to pass this by May 15, 2023. That is the voucher’s expiration date.
Focus on Passing Only My AWS Solutions Architect Professional And Not Associate
I have also decided to focus on passing my AWS Solutions Architect Professional (SAP) certification instead of the Solutions Architect Associate. I am at a different place now in 2023. I am more senior so passing the SAP means that I also renew my SAA and Certified Cloud Practitioner. SAP is on my 2023 list.
Passing PL-900, MB-910 And MB-920
Since my online community college course will be over with in May, I am freed up to pass these fundamental exams. I am also helped by the free 50-question practice assessments and Microsoft Student Hub with free exam vouchers. I am getting all of the free this upcoming month of May.
