August 2022 Certification List Update
Today is the final day of August and there have been a lot of moving pieces regarding AWS Solutions Architect Associate and Az-305 Azure Solutions Architect Expert. For all of new readers here’s my January 1, 2022 certification list for reference.
First, I did not sit for the now retired SAA-C02 because I chose to sit for the AZ-305 due to its voucher expiring August 30, 2022.
Second, I failed the AZ-305 retake scoring 658/700. Domain 4 design infrastructure solutions did me in because I scored 25% and it tanked my overall score. Earlier this morning I purchased the Alan Rodrigues AZ-305 Udemy course during its sale because it was categorized by domains. I refused to fail my third time.
Third, I used Andrew Brown’s AZ- 204 Azure Developer Associate Freecodecamp YouTube tutorial to study for the AZ-305. Had I not, my score would had been even more abysmal. Now I knew that I was only 3–4 right answers away from passing, I am going through all of the AZ-305 Microsoft Learn domain 4 learning path to ensure that I am NOT failing again. This time it will stick!
What’s next?
- Renewing my AZ-700. I will say that studying for my AZ-305 has sharpened my networking knowledge. I am renewing it in September.
- Debating whether or not I should use my MS Build exam voucher towards PL-300 or AZ-204. I mean my mind is still fresh off of AZ-204 so I am leaning towards that. We shall see and of course I will tell you what I decide.
- Request my AWS SAP-C01 exam voucher from AWS Community Builders. I am not going to wait until the last minute to get it. I am passing this exam way before the November 14, 2022 deadline.
I will be ending the third quarter 2022 on a high note!
