We are winding 2023 over here at AWS She Builds CloudUp SAA; and, we’re talking about our top accomplishments. This year my top 2 accomplishments are: speaking at the Belize National Library and having my AWS Data Engineer Associate Beta Exam article added to AWS in Plain English.

Spoke at the Belize National Library during Women’s History Month

This is my biggest accomplishment of 2023 because it is so unexpected. I mean when I press the publish button on Medium NO WAY do I think that someone in Belize or outside of the US is reading my stuff. However, that is exactly the case.

The Belize AWS User Group found me through my AWS She Builds CloudUp SAA Medium blog post series, I was surprised when I opened my Facebook Messenger. Instantly I accepted, met with the management team. It was awesome to inspire other girls in Central America.

Getting 1 Medium article added to AWS Plain English publication

This is my first AWS in Plain English publication. I’ve written this AWS Data Engineer Associate beta exam article because I’ve felt that data engineering is an important field. If AWS thinks that it is important enough to make a fourth associate-level exam, then the Data Engineer Associate is important to be in the pages of AWS She Builds CloudUp SAA

The Data Engineer Associate is still in beta up through January 12, 2024. If you’re interested in data engineering then check out my article. I am thinking about sitting for this over the Solutions Architect Associate especially since I’ve learned that the Data Engineer Associate isn’t as hard as the Data Analytics specialty exam. The specialty/professional are harder exams than the associate.

Well, that is all for 2023. Here’s to an even better 2024!
