AWS She Builds CloudUp SAA : February 2023 Cohort

I am back at it again. This is the first week of the new Solutions Architect Associate cohort. I am documenting my journey through this blog series. Also if you have been following me, you would know that this blog series on Medium has gotten me a speaking engagement. Pretty cool!

So this time, I have the SC-200 and Oracle Cloud Foundations Associate certification renewals due in March and the AZ-104 Azure Administrator Associate renewal due in April. I am also enrolled in online community college plus doing a job search so I have a full plate; however, I have continuously reaped benefits from being AWS certified so I am adamant about renewing my SAA certification.

Confession — What I am disappointed about is the now AWS She Builds CloudUp is only offering 50% discounted exam voucher versus the fully free exam voucher. Man it is hard out here. Give us the full 100% off instead of having us pony up the 75%. Yes, tech is going through it but they $150 to front women interested in cloud computing.

The cutbacks have been all around for me. They’re at AWS, Azure, Google Cloud (they’re making them return to office and share desks in a hoteling situation. Yikes!), and Oracle Cloud. I am just happy to get out in front of it and capitalize upon every available opportunity before the crash hit. However, since I do have the full exam voucher, I am more determined to use it and pass my Solutions Architect Associate renewal.
