Booking Both AWS Beta Exams The Same Day Is Costing You Money
There is a lot of chatter surrounding the AI Cloud Practitioner and Machine Learning Engineer Associate beta exams. And for good reason: this is the third AWS exam to debut this year and artificial intelligence/machine learning is all the rage.
Many test takers are saying that they will take both the AI Cloud Practitioner and Machine Learning Engineer Associate beta exams the same day.
THAT IS A COSTLY MISTAKE!
AWS beta exams take 5 business days to get the results. When you pass your exam, AWS gives you 50% off your next exam.
If you sit for both exams the same day, you won’t know if you’ve passed so you cannot use the 50% off code on your second exam.
Let’s Use An Example
Both AWS beta exams are $75 apiece. Without the 50% off code, you’d pay $150. With the 50% code, your second beta exam would cost $37.50; therefore, your new total cost would be $112.50.
What Should You Do?
Schedule your first AWS beta exam then your second beta exam at least 7 business days later. Do this for two reasons: 1) to receive your AWS promo code in 5 business days and 2) if you fail the first AWS beta exam or a scheduling conflict arises, you are still 2 days out so you can reschedule without penalty.
