Day 3 of Scrum Master Certified Training: Product Owner

On Day 3 Product Owner was the focus. I admit that when it comes to Scrum, product owner is not as featured as much as the Scrum Master (of course it is built into the name!) and the Scrum Team. However, Product Owner does have an important function.

The Product Owner (PO) is the liaison between corporate management and the Scrum Team (Scrum Master + Developers). Many product owners have a business background; therefore, if you’re interested in getting into tech, you can vie for the product owner position. You would possess the business acumen and corporate communication skills to be able to succeed.

The instructor mentions that most product owners are high-level C-suite (this CEO, COO, CIO, CTO) people. I kind of disagree with that. Yes, I have an MBA and have done it. What I will say is that Product Owner is not an entry-level position. You need to have some work experience in order to be success at it.
