Google Tech Equity Collective Rising Innovators: Ep 10: Black Genius Academy

I have had to wait until the program has come into general availability. Now that everyone can apply for it, I am announcing that I am in the Google Tech Equity Black Genius Academy.

I have received my invite a couple months before August 2023 general availability. I admit that I am honored to be selected as one of the members in the beta. Beta means change; but, it also means experimental and prototype. I am happy that the people at Google Tech has seen my work and background to pick me in the original group.

Believe me that I was shocked receiving the invite given all of the problems that I had with Google Tech. I disliked the on-demand video trainings when there was a live option. I also went through modules 1 and 2 with ease. There were times I that dedicated outside of Google Tech towards career development. It helped me land more interviews and learn more in-demand skills.

I am happy that Black Genius Academy has live trainings because you can get your questions answered ASAP. Most beta program members are Type A. We implement these strategies as soon as we get off the Zoom livestream. This live option is why I like BGA.
