Google Tech Equity Collective Rising Innovators : Episode 3 On Demand

Okay so I have learned vis email that I have been assigned the on-demand track. As you know from my blog series posts why I hate this and why. I email the program inquiring as to why I am in on demand and the lady says that all of the 500 live seats are taken.

I truly feel like dumping this program because 1) I already have enough to do 2) I have already been on the GCP Jumpstart and 3) it is not what I want. When you’ve been exposed to two of the top three cloud computing programs (I am currently in AWS She Builds CloudUp SAA and AWS Community Builder and have completed the GCP Jumpstart Program), I do not need another Google program to validate me. I know that I am good enough.

I will still complete the first assignments because I do not want any mess for these program managers. I want everything on the up and up. Having been in corporate America long enough, ‘noncompliance’ is the easiest way to have the other side win by default.

I have also had an epiphany this second quarter of 2023: I am already at the tech executive level. I will be celebrating 10 years as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and have my SC-100 Cybersecurity Architect Expert certification. I don’t need another program. I am good. This is why I am okay with walking away from Google Tech Equity Collective Rising Innovators.
