January 2025 Certification List Update: Curveballs Already

This is the first update of 2025. There have been plenty of professional and certification changes that have happened all in one month. As always, here’s the original 2025 list for transparency purposes.

January 2025

· 1/17/2025 — Learned that DP-203 Azure Data Engineer Associate would retire; DP-700 Fabric Data Engineer Associate would replace DP-203; and, Microsoft Fabric Community has a 50% off DP-700 exam voucher promotion.

· 1/17/2025 — Enrolled in DP-700 MS learning path for voucher

· 1/19/2025 — Completed the LinkedIn Learning AWS Machine Learning Specialty learning path

· 1/29/2025 — Updated my Ohio Means Jobs Cuyahoga County (OMJCC) individual opportunity plan due to job changes. Added AZ-305 and DP-700 notes onto the plan

· 1/29/2025 — Learned that Oracle Cloud has extended its 2024 Foundations Associate, AI Foundations Associate and Data Foundations Associate retirement dates from February 13 ,2025 to February 28, 2025

· 1/30/2025 — Registered for DP-700 Microsoft Reactor series to qualify for 50% off voucher.

· 1/31/2025 — Applied for acceptance into the March 2025 AZNext AWS Cloud Foundation workforce development training
