Receiving My April 2021 Cloud Skills Challenge Badge

This Monday I received my Microsoft Cloud Skills Challenge badge for completing my SC-900 Microsoft Security Fundamentals learning path. I have chosen this path after sitting for the (then beta) exam last month (The SC-900 is now out of beta and in general release).

Receiving this badge certifies completing of the challenge but also my commitment to continually learning about cloud. It also helps that I will receive a free exam voucher upon completion of my learning path.

What’s Next?

I am thinking about using it to sit for either my AZ-500 Azure Security Technologies exam or the SC-200 Security Operations Analyst exam. I have learned over this weekend while completing the Azure Sentinel learning path, there is overlap between these two exams. AZ-500 is Azure cloud security. SC-200 is security operations center (SOC). SOC is huge in Washington, DC since it is the nation’s capital and there are a lot of security jobs.

I have already decided that I want to pursue the SC-300 Identity and Access Management (IAM) Administrator since I have worked in both Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). In addition, I do want to have more than one administrator certification. Maybe I might add SC-200 to the list.
