This Week in AWS Community: AWS Guardrails
Hey there! I am BACK with an end of the month AWS Community blog post. As I close out this March, I want to highlight the importance of doing projects.
As an AWS Community Builder, we have Cloud Academy (now QA) access. I advise you to use this platform for the labs and playground. Unlike the actual AWS platform, you won’t incur any costs.
I did the Cloud Academy (now QA) Guardrails lab. Doing this hands-on exercise helps me understand the difference between Bedrock and guardrails. Before doing this project, I thought that guardrails had to be a part of the Bedrock platform. Afterward, I learned that guardrails can be separate. For me this is good because I am big on responsible AI and knowing that I can create these guardrails on their own is good.
Also regarding the AWS Community Builder, these guardrails would fall under the AI engineering section. It is still unclear about the difference between AI engineering and machine learning; and, if I can be grandfathered into both. I will get back to you on that one.
