This Week In AWS Community : Blogging My Way Through It

Yesterday we has the opportunity to see Jeff Barr, AWS chief content creator, and AWS blogger to a webinar. That was cool because content creation was one of the requirements for becoming an AWS Community Builder. You have to submit 2 content links for either a new AWS Community Builder application or a renewal application. Content is king over here!

I thought it was pretty cool that blogging was the focus. Right now video is hot and it is the highest converting medium. When I mean converting, I mean the viewer taking the action that you mention in your video. For instance, a conversion can mean a sale, email sign up, follow on social media channel, webinar registration, etc. Here at www.carlarjenkins.com, a conversion would be following my RSS feed so that you will NEVER miss a blog post. In the meantime, I am awaiting the status of my year 3 AWS Community Builder renewal application. I know that I am getting in but hey nothing is official yet. Remember, I am nearly done with year two and still have not received my swag kit.
