This Week In AWS Community: Keeping Up with AWS
As you know, I am actively looking for a full-time remote or Washington, DC cloud job (Check out my LinkedIn profile here and connect! ). I have had an interview where I’ve been interviewed about artificial intelligence.
Let me tell you how proud I am that I’ve not only known what AWS Bedrock and Titan are but their use cases. This showcases the importance of keeping up with the latest AWS trends. My being in the machine learning track of AWS Community Builders does help me.
AWS Cloud for Her Immersion Day
Thursday I had the AWS Cloud for Her (formerly AWS She Builds CloudUp) Immersion Day. I selected the advanced labs — web applications. In the 2 ½ hours’ lab, I finished building the virtual private cloud, EC2 instance and Aurora database. My wheelhouse is storage (which was step #4) and infrastructure than database. It was great to create a MySQL/Aurora instance, database and link it to EC2.
Furthermore, I learned something regarding connecting Systems Manager to EC2. I learned that I needed to attach the AWS Systems Manager agent onto the EC2 before adding the Systems Manager role that I created. Even with these new discoveries I still made time which was important. When you’re on a job, you had to turn around these requests pretty fast in these help desks/service…
