This Week In AWS Community: Learn And Be Curious

Hey everybody! One of the perks of being an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Community Builder is participating in beta programs. You get to test things before the general public gets to see them. As a Type A, early adopter, I truly love this because I always want to tinker around with stuff. I do feel that this personality type fits AWS Community Builder. The program wants those who will be the first to try out things. One of Amazon’s 16 leadership principles is Learn and Be Curious.

Learn And Be Curious

I equate the principle learn and be curious to continual improvement. Even before the AWS Community Builders program, I’ve been a big advocate of continual improvement. I want to get better everyday.

For these past few issues in this blog series, I have been talking about the AWS Data Engineer Associate beta exam. Beta exams allows test takers to take the exam. AWS evaluates the patterns of test takers to see if the majority test takers get certain things right or wrong. Then after a couple of months, release the beta exam to the public.

Having taken several Microsoft beta exams, it feels great to be one of the first certification holders. You can always say that. Furthermore, you’re ahead of other job applicants. Last year when the SC-100 Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect…
