This Week in AWS Community: Luma AI

Aye Medium Family! If you know anything about me it is that I am an early adopter. I passed my AWS AI Practitioner during the beta phase. I always love being first to tinker with anything. This time is no different. (Finally!), the AWS + Luma AI partnership has debuted. As an AWS Community Builder on the machine learning track, I am SO ready for this!

What Is Luma AI?

Luma AI creates images and videos using generative AI. The company has now partnered with AWS to let users access its generative AI tools for image and video generation. You would need to grant model access on AWS Bedrock in order to use Luma AI.

Here is my model access YouTube video for accessing Luma AI. As of this publication, Luma AI is only available in the Oregon West region. The Ray2 product is Luma AI’s current offering.

What is the Ray2 Product?

Ray2 is a large-scale video generative AI service. There are a lot of examples of its text to video prompts with output on its site.

Why Does This Matter?

First, this is AI and on the machine learning track (Luma AI may also be on the new AI Engineering track too).
