This Week In AWS Community : New Opportunities

Happy March everybody! We already done with the first two months of 2023 and into the third month. Time sure is flying.

Here on www.carlarjenkins.com, time is flying too. I have crossed Day 1000 of 100 Days of Cloud. This is a pretty big milestone which you can read here.

Also I have been preparing for a new volunteer opportunity. Though I cannot disclose it, I am pretty happy that AWS Community Builder managers saw my grind and activity to refer me to this new program.

As I have mentioned before after year 1, I did not think that anyone was looking at me. I was not the Builder giving the speeches at the AWS events or writing on Dev.to. I was just blogging week on here and writing for my then Curated by Carla Twitter newsletter. That newsletter had 20 subscribers by the end of its run this January 2023. Yet, AWS managers were watching and referred me to start this new program.

My motto — Show Up And Show Out (Execute)

I pair these two things together because they’re necessary. Yes, visibility trumps ability; but, you do not want to be labeled a fraud because you do not execute. Regarding AWS, I have been blogging and actively doing cloud for nearly 3 years. People see this.

As always, I will keep you abreast of everything that is happening here. March will be busy. In addition, to this new program, there is my AWS speaking engagement later this month.
