This Week In AWS Community: The Past, The Present And The Future

Hey there everybody! A whole lot of (positive) things have been happening around AWS this week.

Renewal Time Continues On

As many of you know, my AWS Community Builder renewal period window is open from now through March 31, 2024. I will submit my stuff by the end of this month. Starting this year, both the AWS Community Builders new applications and current member renewals will be annually.

But there have some new developments

Du’An Lightfoot Returns

Out of the blue Thursday night, Du’An Lightfoot did an impromptu YouTube Ask Me Anything Livestream. He has not been YouTube in nearly forever. He started on YouTube documenting his networking experience. He passed his Cisco routing and then got into cloud. We’re both Ohioans and AWS Community Builders.

New AWS New Voices Cohort

This weekend I have seen many people on LinkedIn and Twitter share screenshots of them getting accepted in the latest New Voices cohort. As an inaugural member of that program, I am alarmed that it has been 1 year. I mean I know that it is a New Year but time is moving fast!
