This Week In AWS Community: The Summer 2023 AWS Community Builders Application Is Live

The summer 2023 application window is still open through next week Thursday, July 13, 2023. If you are interested in becoming an AWS Community Builder, this is your chance to apply.

Some Application Tips:

Make sure that you have more than 5 pieces of AWS content

You must have a track record. My 2021 application had 6 fields where you would place links. If you have 5 AWS-related content pieces then you only have to create 1 more piece.

Have your content on at least two channels

You do not want to be seen as a one-trick pony. The committee wants to see your versatility. When I applied in 2021, I submitted my website, YouTube and Periscope (now Twitter Live). I believed that this diversity got me accepted.

Have AWS certification

AWS certification is mandatory. I had the Certified Cloud Practitioner and Solutions Architect Associate certifications when I applied. If you don’t have any, I would recommend holding off until next year.
