This Week In AWS Community : Tying Up Loose Ends
This week has been one of completing tasks and closing out things. This week I registered for the AWS Certified Professional Challenge to learn more about Solutions Architect Professional exam prep and have a backup. I was leaning towards using my full voucher towards the AWS security specialty since I had more cybersecurity background than solutions architect.
That was a major pivot because I was initially saving my free exam voucher for Solutions Architect Professional but hey free beat $150. Besides I had to be honest about where my cloud career was at currently. I dedicated more time towards cybersecurity so I went in the AWS security specialty direction.
Speaking of cybersecurity, this week I am studying my SC-200 Security Operations Analyst renewal. I need to renew before March 15, 2023. All the more reason to start studying to pass the AWS security specialty over solutions architect professional.
Come March 1, 2023, I will renew my SC-200, have time for my AWS security specialty. If you read www.carlarjenkins.com, you would know that being multi-cloud is big for me. Cybersecurity is no different. Right now all of my cybersecurity certifications are Microsoft Security. I do need to get AWS security certified to balance it all out.
Personally, I want to have some new AWS certification to show for it with this being my second year of AWS Community Builders. Passing my AWS security specialty certification exam, accomplishes this.
