July 2023 Certification List Update: Getting Back On Track
July has been another very busy month. It is my second month in the Ohio individual microcredential assistance program (IMAP). There has also been some changes to IMAP which I will discuss in this blog post. As always, there is the original 2023 certification list.

· 7/7/2023 — Attended the free Scrum Fundamentals Certified webinar to prep to pass my exam
· 7/8/2023 — Passed My Scrum Fundamentals Certified certification exam as one of three requirements to obtain my Scrum Master Certified exam voucher
· 7/10/2023–7/13/2023 — Attended the Ohio IMAP Global Lynx Scrum Master Certified training
· 7/18/2023 — Passed My Oracle Cloud Foundations Associate certification exam
· 7/30/2023 — Booked My Scrum Master Certified exam
· 7/30/2023 — Booked my Oracle Cloud Multicloud Architect Associate exam
Ohio IMAP
I have learned on July 10th that my CompTIA security+ training provider funds wills top July 31st. This means that I will need to find a new training provider by the end of this month. Immediately I email one of the other providers telling them about my situation. I received enrollment so I am good to go.
The Ohio IMAP lets you enroll in different certification programs. For instance, I am currently going through Global Lynx for my Scrum Master training. I am enrolled in a different training provider for CompTIA Security+ cybersecurity training. The only stipulation is that I must only do ONE certification training at a time in IMAP.

Attended the Azure Connected Live Events (CLX) AI-102 exam cram webinar
Azure AI Engineer Associate is on the 2023 certification list
I enrolled in this program because it had a free exam voucher attached to it. Also if you read my June 2023 certification list, I let the AI-100 certification expire because the current exam is AI-102.
The Microsoft CLX has the AI-102 and I want to be current when it comes to AI work. As you can see after July 7th, things have gotten busy around here. I will restart this in August. September 30, 2023 is the deadline for the exam voucher.
Attended the free Scrum Fundamentals Certified webinar to prep to pass my exam
Confession — I did not feel that the instructions were communicated to me properly. It was my understanding that this Scrum Fundamentals Certified for simply for review not mandated for me to secure my Scrum Master Certified exam voucher. Realizing this meant that I had to rearrange my schedule.
I was happy to have registered for this free training to prepare me ahead of passing my exam. Scrumstudy.com taught the Scrum Body of Knowledge (SBOK) which differed from the 2020 Scrum Guide. I had to get acclimated to that.
Passed My Scrum Fundamentals Certified Exam
This is a free scrum certification exam created by ScrumStudy.com. It is also my first certification this month.
This was one of three requirements to obtain my Scrum Master Certified exam voucher. The other two were to have 90% attendance rating and complete the online portal assignments.
Attended the Ohio IMAP Global Lynx Scrum Master Certified Training
I held up my 90% attendance rating and asked questions. I also completed all of the work before the final day because I was determined to pass my certification exam.
Road block: Scrumstudy.com mandates that you take your online certification exam in a chair sitting at a table. Why is this a road block? Because I have taken all of my exams in my bed. I have passed my ITIL4 recertification exam in my bed.
You also cannot take your exam on a sofa. This rule forces me to email libraries for meeting rooms as a back-up plan. I have booked my exam for August 2, 2023.
FYI — If you have an online proctored exam, ScrumStudy.com will not let you book an exam within 48 hours. I try booking my exam on July 30, 2023 for August 1st but the system says August 2, 2023. The online proctor requirement makes exam booking different from Scrum Fundamentals Certified vs. Scrum Master Certified.
Passed My Oracle Cloud Foundations Associate Exam
I just decided after rewatching the SQL Heatwave database video in the official online exam prep training portal, that I might as well take the exam.
The Foundations Associate exam is not proctored. I have scored 31/35. This exam also counts towards the Race to Certification free promotion.
As of July 18th, I was currently 2/3 of the way done with sector 1. Sector 1 meant passing 1 certification, attending 1 live session and completing 1 online course.
Booked my Oracle Cloud Multicloud Architect Associate Exam
After booking my Scrum Master Certified exam, I decide to book my multicloud architect associate. Only to learn that this week’s slots are all gone. I have booked for August 11, 2023. With 2 weeks in between my exam, I am seriously considering passing my Data Management Foundations Associate exam and studying to pass my Cloud Security Professional. I do think that working on the Cloud Security Professional hands-on cloud labs since this will be a part of my exam.
